Hello everyone, and I'm back to report on my experience at another Comic Con called Kids Comic Con! If you checked out my Hopp page in my Instagram and Twitter bios, I posted a link to the Kids Comic Con site. You may have also seen this poster that promoted the event on my Instagram and Twitter below:

What is Kids Comic Con, anyway? It's an event at Bronx Community College that is co-hosted by Alex Simmons and Gene Adams. Here are samples of their bios on the Kids Comic Con site:

Over the past 20 years Alex Simmons has written (and in some cases also created) a number of juvenile mysteries under a variety of pseudonyms for many well-known publishers. He has also penned two educational documentaries and several stage plays. One of his plays, Sherlock Holmes & the Hands of Othello, received critical praise and was published in Black Thunder: An Anthology of Contemporary African American Drama, published by Signet/Mentor Books.
Gene Adams has over 35 years of corporate, non-profit, and education leadership experience. He is the co-creator of the Kid’s Comic Con (KCC) at Bronx Community College (BCC). Gene has endeavored to establish academic pathways with local schools that connect comic book art and literacy to disciplines across the learning disciplines. In addition to helping to implement the KCC at BCC, Gene coordinated KCC in Senegal, West Africa and the Color of Comics exhibition.

As for the exhibitors, this was another promotional image of the convention featuring their names below, including mine. Try to guess the names of the countries that these patriotic superheroes are representing!

Try to find me at this image from the convention! (Hint: find the vending machine!) Ultimately, it was a great time! If you missed out on the convention, I hope to see you at a future event!

This was just one of several pictures of the convention that were released after the event. Check some more of them out below!

In other news, I have finally decided to join Bluesky! This will be yet another place where you can check out new Sammy Specific comic strips, after Naimoli Universe, Twitter and Threads. The account will officially go live in January, when the first strip will be re-released. The children's book community seems to be leaving Twitter for Bluesky, and I'd hate to be missing out on any opportunities by not being on there. Be on the lookout for when the link becomes available!

Until then, stay enlightened, educated and entertained, folks!
